CMTI teams up with American Contractors Corporation to train their foremen lifesaving skills
American Contractors’ Foremen CPR Certified and Trained in First Aid
American Contractors Corp. is now certified in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) as well as trained in first aid. With safety at the forefront of every job, the acoustical ceiling and wall subcontractor made it a requirement that all jobs must have a CPR and first aid competent person on site. All of American Contractors’ foremen have successfully completed a six-hour course in medical training from CMTI (Comprehensive Medical Teaching Institute Inc.). President and Program Director Keith Wilson trained the foremen how to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Participants have successfully demonstrated the ability on how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies as well as adult CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator) use. It is our objective to reduce the number of injuries and illnesses to an absolute minimum and to ensure the safest work environment.
